Besom

The Besom Foundation is a charity that aims to bridge the gap between those who need and those who can give, whether that is in time, money or things.

Many pastorates from HTB do various Besom projects around London.

The Pastorate does Besom

In May 2007 a team from the Phillips pastorate did a Besom project in a flat on the World's end estate in Earls Court. For more information on what went on and what the team actually did apart from learn new DIY skills read on

After a long day spent up stairs and ladders and on knees the flat we painted was transformed. Walls, celings and doors were painted breathing new life into the flat. Fortified by tea and biscuits and a good lunch the team went away tired but happy to toast another job well done in a local pub.

Some of the team doscovered that Polyfilla is very useful for filling in holes in teh wall and what was the easiest way to avoid getting paint onto windows.

We’re definitely going to do another Besom soon if you want to join us!
